More than 40,000 individuals have had to leave their homes in the wake of BC's wildfires. For many, the decision to leave was even more difficult because of pets or livestock. There aren't a lot of options for animals in the midst of this crisis, and that's were organizations like CDART (Canadian Disaster Animal Response Team) come in. These volunteers have worked tirelessly over the past weeks at evacuation centres ensuring that animal lives are not lost during this tragedy; and that families can focus on dealing with the crisis knowing their pets are in a safe place. On August 9, join us to raise a glass to these amazing folks and to raise much-needed funds. Any proceeds from ticket sales will be directed to CDART as they come in, so they can be used for expenses and to buy supplies. Tickets are $20 plus applicable taxes and service charges. This includes a house made beef or veggie burger (vegan option available) with beer-battered fries beer and your choice of drink: a sleeve of Bud, Coors Light, or Strongbow; a house highball; or a 6oz glass of house red of white wine. They will get a free dinner and drink and we'll celebrate their selfless work. If there aren't enough guests to direct the tickets to, these funds will be donated to CDART in your name.
